Minimum Visits

Bark & Purr Pet Sitting, LLC will require a minimum number of pet sitting visits in order to provide care for your pet(s).  We will not agree to care for your pet(s) if you do not allow us to do so properly.  We will not agree to any directives to ignore animals that are in the home.

If you are going to be gone for 24 hours or more, cats and other small animals require at a minimum 1 visit per day.  If you are going to be gone for 24 hours or more, dogs require a minimum of 2 visits per day.  (We recommend 3 visits per day for dogs.)  If you are going to be gone for 24 hours or more, puppies under 6 months old require a minimum of 4 visits per day.  

The visit requirements listed above are for care of your pet(s) when you will be gone for 24 hours or more.   

Daily  pet sitting visits/dog walks are services that are provided when you will be away from your home for some part of the day (but no longer than 23 hours) and do not follow the minimum visit guidelines.   

The number of visits needed to provide care for your pet(s) will be discussed at our Meet & Greet visit and be agreed upon by both parties.  Bark & Purr Pet Sitting, LLC reserves the right to add and bill additional visits to your care plan if they are needed in order to provide proper care for your pet(s).  During your absence if we find the number of pre-arranged visits is not meeting the needs of your pet(s), we will contact you to discuss the additional visits needed to provide quality care. If you decide that you do not wish for us to provide the additional care needed for your pet(s), we will contact your emergency contact and make arrangements with them to take over pet care until your return. We will not continue to provide care in a situation where it is clear that your pet(s) needs are not being met.

Your pet(s) must have access to shelter and water outside or have a pet door that will allow them to gain access to the house.  Extreme heat or cold can be very dangerous for pets and we need to make sure that they are safe.  In order to keep your pet(s) both safe and comfortable, Bark & Purr Pet Sitting, LLC may adjust the thermostat setting inside your home.
